So we are still heading to Skaha this weekend even though the weather currently looks iffy. Any climbing areas stay relatively dry even if the sky isn't?

Have any other ideas for fun if we get rained out?

Thanks - what are the chances Vernon will be dry if Skaha is wet?

In Vernon, you can climb in the rain at the Lake Side Wall at Ellison Park.

In Skaha, double exposure, 5.8, stays dry in the rain. Some routes on the doctors wall also stay dry. If you can't climb steep sport routes, you're SOL, as most of steep stuff stays dry.

The only exception is Ellison, where you can enjoy a fun day of bouldering and hanging off a 5.9 and a sandbaged 5.10c on the Lake Side Wall.

You'd be amazed at how fast the rock drys at Skaha.

If the forecast is for showers in Skaha, expect to climb between them. Like STG says, it is amazing how fast the rock dries.

I will be heading there for easter as well, but the forecast is for work ... now that interferes with the climbing.

Yeah, I hate when my job gets in the way of fun!!!

Thanks for the tips - we rented a cabin so at least we won't be messing around with tents this weekend.

I've climbed in the rain before (who hasn't living in Seattle), and am good for a few steep leads - it's all relative. I am still hoping "few showers" means mostly sun.

Thanks again - and keep the ideas coming!
