where in NC? Are you looking for help on climbing technique (how to do the moves) or are you looking for technical advice like how to build anchors? If you're just looking for a place to practice, Inner Peaks is an indoor climbing gym in Charlotte. They also offer outdoor courses on how to build anchors, clean sport climbs, and do multi-pitch trad climbs. You also might want to look at Fox Mountain Guides. They are a highly-recommended school that will teach you everything you need to know for safe outdoor climbing. If you're looking for a partner, I'd be more than willing to take you or anyone else along on one of my easy top-roping and sport-climbing days. I can show you the ropes (as it were) and make sure you don't do anything dangerous, but would still strongly recommend you seek training from a certified guide. I'm expecting a second addition to my family soon, so will be out of commission through most of May. Come June, I'll be getting outdoors in every capacity from top rope to multi-pitch trad climbing. Let me know if you're ever in need of a partner. I know a lot of people who are always looking to get out and clibm. Inner Peaks is also a decent place to find partners as well. Send me a PM if you need any more information. There's a lot of great rock in NC, and a ton of partners to be found.

Well, I just moved down here recently to the Maiden area Not to be like, too careful here... but I get a little bit nervous giving out information on the web... I have had a few instances of unwelcome interest (a little scary) I apologize if I am being vague Thanks!

I understand. I guess you should just go to a gym and try and meet people to climb with there. That's what I did.

There will be a big group of people from the triangle area heading out to linville gorge this weekend if you're interested. Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nc-rock/ for more details.
