How many aid climbers (or aspiring aid climbers) have tried Olevsky's tee'ing off technique. I was absolutely blow away by how such a simple, inobvious position could make such an outrageous difference when in the second or top step......it actually makes u feel comfortable up there! Take it from me (king of the third step), if you havent tried it you ought to. Basic technique: 1 foot in aider with toes on rock, heel of second foot dropped in front of (or on top of...or even just slapped in next to) the toes of first foot. Im using this with a one aider per daisy set-up. It can be marginally difficult to get the foot in on steep rock, but once in its golden.

I wish dangle would post a photo of the technique? I don't know how tall he is but was totaly blown away at the distance between the drilled angles on Touchstone! I have hand drilled enough to know that there is no way that I coluld have drilled that far apart!!! verey impressive!!!!!

I had a look at his video - and though its hard to tell height given most shots are of him and a young-ish woman he was teaching it appears he is not tall at all. The real magic of the move is that you feel so stable up there there is little reason to tighten your adjustable daisies (or for pros use daisies at all). Not only do you get higher, but youve just removed the motion of tightening and untightening your daisies = move faster
