Hello,

I am trying to order some new climbing shoes over the Internet, since the "local" shops don't carry them and won't order them. I don't blame them really. I am trying to get a pair of Boreal Laser's...not really the worlds most famous shoe, but one that I find fits well.

There are two stores that seem to carry my size and ship to Canada. They are K & R Adventure Gear and Mountain Tools California. Has anyone here ever ordered gear from them? How was the service? Anyone from Canada out there order gear from them?

I figure the stuff will take a while to get here, so I want to be sure I am dealing with really great retailers.

Thanks in advance. And try not to be too hard on a climber that still wears the Boreal Laser.

I've used Mountain Tools several times, they were "ok" but not fantastic. As long as everything was in stock and there were zero problems it went ok, just not super fast. Your mileage may vary of course. I do know there are entire threads about Mountain Tools service.

Can't speak for K and R.

Pretty sure I've used K&R at least once, no problem. Of course you don't really know until there is a problem.

FWIW I've only used gearexpress.com and pagangear.com. Had *very* good results with gear express and would highly recommend them. I see that they don't stock your shoes though :-(

Nice call. Agree.

Mt tools sucks.

Also real real good/perfect = REI.com, Mgear.com, bentgate.com, tradrack.com

But dude, shoes online? Dont' you want to try them out and put them on in the store ? I thought sizes sometimes vary even though they are stamped the same size.
