Approximately seventy foot long half-submerged bouldering cave at Maeda Point with two traversing routes and fairly good bouldering at any point in the cave over water, which makes spotters unnecessary, though you do have to watch for snorkelers and SCUBA divers. One route of note takes you up one side of the cave and down the other, about a V6. Climbing shoes are not recommended because of the water and wet rocks, but swim trunks and aquasocks are a good idea. Barefoot is possible but can be kind of painful. Jug handholds make for good bouldering.

I was there 99-03 and made about 50 routes near Kadena. Yeh, I climbed around the cave a bunch too--notice the route at the lip? If you want more info. Steve.curtis@us.af.mil
