Caught a glimpse of this on the local news yesterday. Huge Rock, like the size of the car, fell on a parked car while the owner was climbing. The news showed the car and then blowing up the rock to move it off the roadside. Went looking for more details but couldnt find any. Any one know the details or a link?

Damn... I would hate to be the owner of that car, but that's just funny as hell! Can you imagine trying to explain that to the insurance company. "you see, I was rock climbing and this massive boulder fell out of the sky and squished my car"

In reply to: How's this for a headline: "Rock Climbing Safer Than Sitting In Parked Car" Could work for the safe sex angle... "don't make out in a parked car. It could KILL you!!"

For all those people that complain about their cars getting broke into while climbing at the Red, remember that it could always be worse.

I always thought that parking on that side of the road was not wise and I was reinforced Saturday morning when I heard a loud crunch. At the time I thought it was a gravel truck hitting a bump as it was only one brief noise, kind of like squashing a beer can. For future reference, there's big boulder with a bolt in it and a rope anchoring it to the wall just above this spot under the route "Evil". Walk the extra 2 minutes from the parking area on the other side of the road, or......
