Patagonia in early December? Any help?

Anybody have any thought on Patagonia....can anything be done in a few days....I only have 9 days off and my wife will probably only let me climb for about 2 of them.

You will be at the mercy of the weather if you visit southern Patagonia. If you want to be sure of getting some climbing in, go to Bariloche and trek in to Frey. If you want to climb something bigger down south, El Mocho for example, then prepare to be disappointed unless you are very lucky.

On the bright side, a hell of a lot of fine bouldering and sport climbing has been developed around Chalten by climbers waiting for weather windows. So you could theoretically do both.

If you're looking for a sure thing, go to Bariloche. If you're after big game... well, I assume you know what you are getting into, and you don't need my advice in that case.
