Winter officially begins tonight at 7:22 p.m. EST Tomorrow, the days start getting longer, again. Woohoo. Right now, my commute (both ways) are in the dark. I look forward seeing the sun during the week. I love Winter. Chilly days at the crag, low(er) humidity, finding those sun-drenched climbs, being able to enjoy the views without all those pesky leaves in the way. Happy Solstice.

And to our friends on the other side of the world...Happy Summer Solstice!!

Hey, happy summer solstice to you all from the bottom half of the world. Sun and surf weather here. Lazing around on the beach, hanging around in your boardeys with no shirt on and bare feet. Checking out all the gorgeous chicks in bikinis. Tropical fruit, prawns and seafood for chrissy dinner. Sweltering in the humidity of a hot summers Queensland afternoon. Finding those shadey climbs out of the sun with a fresh sea breeze to keep one cool. Ahh, this is the life for me. I hate the cold, I can't imagine what it must be like to touch snow.

I thought it was the beginning of your winter.

(Ok not really since I snowshoed for 2 hrs today and basically broke trail for most of it since the snow has fallen so fast no one can keep their walks clean).

Happy Solstice to all. I can't wait for the longer days to come. More after-work bouldering. Less clothing on women. Life is better
