New Section and (2) new routes in Provo, Utah's Rock Canyon --Section: "Dork Dot Rock" (2) routes 5.9-5.10 and 5.10b) Directions: go up Rock Canyon Trail approx. 1 mi. left turn at "Climb Safety" sign just before "Kitchen" (Kitchen is at steel gate). After left at sign cross creek and go up North canyon wall on the scree fall about 400 ft. Bear left on trail (trail is not obvious) go 1/8th - 1/4th mi to pinnacle ("Dork Dot Rock"). New routes are: 1. Free Admission 5.9-5.10 F.A. Aaron B. Stewart, a challengiing start, some overhang with few TG's, several not obvious lay-back holds, a modest crack-roof problem before chains. (7) bolts and chains 2. Must Be This Tall 5.10b F.A. Aaron B. Stewart, a right three bolt variation on the more overhung bolder section of Free Admission. This is well worth climbing the scree fall and a happy change for all the Red Slab crowd.
