Limestone crags near LA? Are you high? No limestone crags around LA and I certainly wouldn't want to place gear in it if there was. Joshua Tree or Tahquitz are your options. Jason

there's a limestone crag in la county, it's just hard to find and there are only like 5 routes there. However, just go to josh! or you could plug cams into the pockets at malibu and have them blow out when you fall. Jason

there is stuff you could lead trad at stony point if you were just desperate to put a cam it a crack but it's really not a trad area and certainly not somewhere to play around with trad climbing. It's tope rope. josh is only 2 hours away Jason

hexes and cams work fine at Stoney, Mark, even a bomber nut here and there. i'll climb with you, if you want to go play on those

GO TO LAKE PERRIS. OR SCREW AROUND AT MT RUBIDEAUX IN RIVERSIDE. A LOT CLOSER THAN JOSHUA TREE.

I lead trad at stoney all the time never popped protection once and even taken falls on cams and nuts!And in 12!
