Is Prusik Peak named after the Austrian Karl Prusik? Or is this just a coincidence, and is the peak named after someone/something else?

You'll do better with questions like this on cascadeclimbers.com...but the answer to your question is that the first ascent party lassoed the summit block and prusiked the last pitch. Jason
