I think gloves are WAY TO CHEAP... i would only use them if i climbed barefoot or something.

Plus it takes away the fun, and trying to push yourself.... so why boulder if ur using them?

Climber49er here... Writing from the brilliant white sand beaches of an unnamed island in the South Pacific, where scantily clad natives serve ice cold beverages in coconut shells after a long hard session of pulling on V2's.

Thanks to all of you that have made my early retirement possible by purchasing my climbing gloves. Even though I now lead a relatively sedimentary life of ease, I cant forget all the choss monkeys that have made it possible!

To give back to all you poor working stiffs, I have recently signed a contract with the Red Hawt Chilly Peppers to perform a worldwide series of private concerts for RC.com users showcasing my songwriting skills with a set of 17 all original tunes dedicated to the art and science of rock climbing.

I am offering backstage passes to the first 27,000 people that respond so you can meet me and the band and get your gloves personally autographed by yours truly.

Looking forward to the mosh pit with you all....

Well think about this, you are in a bouldering comp and you are wearing these (not that you would, but) when you win. If you were another contestant, would that make you happy?
Dude, if he has stickier rubber on his shoes should he feel bad if he beats me? Anything for an edge brah!

I pulled a sick V9 with these gloves today, I couldn't make the first move without them!
Want recognition?[:P]

Say hi to Gilligan and the Skipper for us.

BTW, every great climber eschewed the gloves in place of them they stripped naked and sprayed the entire body with rubber cement.

Wouldn't nasal spray be considered a performance enhancing drug?

Sedimentary? Really? I thought most of the rock in the South Pacific was igneous or metamorphic.

Welcome back Climber49er.

Funny as it seems, back in the 80s there
used to be a sort of hand mitt called spider mitts.

They were not really gloves, but they fit on your hands and had rubber on the back. They were basically for crack climbing and was suppose to
help with your jamming. They were not on the market for very long. I guess climbers thought they were too bulky.

I have to admit, You had a good troll going there.
still hooking people after 2 years!!!

BTW, I am working on a pair of climbing pants that have 5.10 rand rubber on the seat and knees of the pants, and, a climbing shirt with rubber on the elbows.
I hope to be joining you on an Island
close to you soon.Smile

Depends, Curt, on who I am making them for.
You have to admit, that the pants with the
rubber on the OUTSIDE, would be great for chimneys
and spider crawling down slabs

Sorry I couldn't make it bouldering with you back in
March. Are you going to the Sushi-Fest in Oct. at JT?
