so is the dinner gonna be cooked at the rock? in the parking lot? or at either mitch or nate's house? I'm not worried or panicked...i'm just asking a valid question.

alright two things to address: [1]1) Place to meet for dinner on Friday. It may make the most sense for people to meet there (where ever that may be) THEN split off to Mitchs and Nates...maybe that'll be too late. 2) Meal ideas for Saturday Dinner, other than Chili.

rwaltermyer: "one of my concerns of late is we're not getting enough input from EVERYONE...they all PMed and said count us in, and aren't hear to speak up." I do not really car about what we do for food. It is not like Birdsboro is in the middle of no where and you need to drive 3 hours to the closest grocery store. I was just planning on not getting into the food conversation until it is closer to the weekend. I am one of those people that does not really care about food as long as it is edible I will usually eat it. So let me through up a new idea for food. Why dont we eat rice the entire weekend and anne's chili?

So why doesn't someone, like Mitch, suggest a place for us all for Friday night?

Nate (mmindtrap) suggested:"there is this place called Shady Maple, about 25 min from Reading, it's the largest buffet that I have ever seen." Mitchal suggested the Tap Room. [ This Message was edited by: rwaltermyer on 2002-10-03 14:09 ]

thats a good point...i and my two buddies are all underage as well. Mitchal mentioned meeting at a local tavern in the big post (wonder if thats the Tap Room)...is that in Birdsboro? Is there a big chain restaurant which everyone can obviously find right off of 422 somewhere with plenty of parking? That to me would be the ideal meeting AND eating place.

randy...i dont think there is going to be a lot of ppl on friday night...mostly just the locals i think...ummmmm....anyplace that serves food, minors are allowed in...just not belly up to the bar...so this should not be a problem for anyone...but if we chose a place that is dry...there's a friggin problem dude!!!

i'm fine with the alcohol as long as it will allow minors So lets nail down a place. And what do you think, 1) meet at the resturant/bar/whatever or 2) at mitchals and nate, get settled in, then meet for dinner?

what is the pizza place on the corner before the park...not the public hair pizza place the other one???? i had a great sub there the last time i was at the bird climbing...i think a large runs between 5 and 6 bucks...they have drinks and a pool table...i will get a menu if i get to the bird this weekend with number7 or mitchal if he is not going to rumney... that way we can take a gander at the park too!!!

i believe its Dante's Depot....I had an amazing (get this) Chicken Cheddar Chessesteak served on a garlic bread roll. Oh, it was amazing! Thats my vote!! And, Anne, you're right, the prices ain't bad at all! The seating is pretty limited, so we should get a numbers count for friday attendees. I'd love a quick pump session friday night too...you know with us being THAT close to the rock we won't be able to resist. Unless Mitchal shows us his other secret bouldering spots. I'm STILL waiting for those photos!

Whatever you guys plan for food is fine. Let me know what I owe, or what to bring. I am trying hard to keep that weekend open. I was originally planning for Friday night/Saturday trip but it is looking to be more and more just a saturday trip. I am definitely in for Sat. Anne, I am looking forward to trying your Chili (Hot, of course) I am somewhat of an expert on the subject matter)
