Charlie Company 4th Light Armored Reconnissance Battalion a Marine Reserve unit out of Salt Lake City Utah was mobilized and is now in Iraq for awhile. There are quite a few climbers in the Co. so we are building a climbing wall to help keep things interesting. We have Metolius Rock Rings and Nicros is sending the HIT system which should be here shortly. Anything that anybody can give would be greatly appreciated (old crusty holds to old climbing mags chalk what ever) If you want to donate leave a comment and I'll get you our address. It's just like shipping in country so cost won't be too bad. Heck if needs be I'm sure I can get some of the marines to pitch in to help pay the shipping. Thanks for any support you can give. Sgt Collins I really don't know how to thank you all for your support and kind words. One more reason I love climbing so much the friends you make are priceless. Our address is Sgt Collins, Aaron D 1/10 "C" Co 4th LAR Unit 73322 FPO AE 09509-3322

Endorsement: ldsclimber is legit, so feel free to hook him up. His name is Aaron and he used to live in Phoenix. Good climber. Stay safe, y'all.

We'll take them for the next 4-5 months. We're not going anywhere for awhile and anything sent will be left here so it will be used by the company that replaces us and so on. Good luck with Boot Camp it's a humbling experience but when you are out, you'll be one of the few. The friends you will make in the Corps will last forever. Just remember when things get hard that it could be lot worse. Semper Fi.

Hey thanks I can't believe you still remember me!! You're still putting up some awesome pics!! I miss AZ but the climbing in UT has been off the hook. Hopefully we can keep crankin' out here in the land of rank and sand.

Endorsement 2: Aaron is a badass that I had the privilege to climb with in San Diego for while when he was stationed there. So you can rest assured that though your assistance is going to a dritbag, he isn't just any old dirtbag! Alon :)

This thread is (or should be) what climbing is all about. Expect a rather large shipment of old climbing mags, Marine.

Hey Aaron, this is Landon, Alon's little bro. I remember you taking me up on my first trad climb (one of the sweetest i've been on yet) and helping me get started in trad and also pushing myself into harder climbs. PM me where to send some holds and i'll get them out your way ASAP. You had my back here and you've got my back there too. Thanks for everything.

hey, u guys got any old buildings or walls over there? Why don't u just shoot the hell out of a wall to make some holds? seems that would make some good pockets. Take care over there, bro.

Aaron, A box of holds, etc. went out today (11/30) so you should be getting it soon. Teton Mountaineering in Jackson, WY gave me everything i could buy at cost, and Enclosure Climbing Gym also generously filled up the rest of the box along with a wrench and a bunch of inserts and bolts. Merry Christmas! Landon
