Yup MmmHmm Yup MmmHmm OK, so I'm getting my last tidbits together and they seem really expensive. I finally broke down and got a mini refillable propane tank, I always put it off because it costs as much as a large tank ($40). I just looked the other direction when I checked out and handed them my card. At least it's one with a wide base so I can't tip it. I thought that was about it, everything else was just details. Wrong!! The appliance post costs $35. It does not come with a hose for the stove. The 2 foot hose my stove has is probably too short. An extension hose is another $25. Then to tie it all together, I still need a table costing $40 and up. So, to avoid sitting on the ground and cooking like I've done for 10 years, to save the money of buying 5-6 disposable propane cylinders a year (at $4.00 each or so) I basically need to spend $140. Cost analysis, it's a fucking cool setup but I could have bought a few new cams or spent an evening eating sushi. Something to ponder

Well, I do have 3 outlets on the pole and only a lantern and stove. A space heater would be just perfect. Is there one that isn't too much of a fire hazard? The one I used antelope hunting with my dad as a kid would melt my truck. I was considering wiring an electric blanket to a separate battery but the logistics are more than I'm interested in.

Nah, a space heater has no romance. You need this: http://www.campchef.com/catalog/item/4/29/0/GCLOG/90/Gas+Fire+Ring.html

$140?? get the 20# bottle and hose for cooking on the two burner stove, and a heater like this, then buy an adapter like this to refill the 16oz'ers for the heater and a lamp like this. don't burn just any propane heater in the tent/trk - got to be rated for indoor use.

Fixed your links for you. When you use the url tag like you did to get the text linked, you don't need the "http:// .... the url tag takes care of that for you. Don't include the quote, either. It's UBB code, not HTML.

Table, $40 Bottle, $40 Tower, $35 Hose, $25 Total $140 I already have everything else. Probably not going to get the heater Your way Table, still $40 Bigger Bottle, still $40 Hose, still $25 Refill Adapter, $17 Total $122 And the refill adapter will probably give about 2/3 burn time of a new bottle, max. Bottles will often leak and need to be tossed. And it's a general pain in the ass. Do you need to borrow $18?

no no - you can overfill the small bottles if not careful - by lowering the temp (pressure) of the empty 1lb'er and turning the 20# bottle upside down (liguid injection) - i've been dioing this for years - sometimes i get a leaker (through the schradder) and i toss um but most hold well. anyway - table? can't ya think of any alternatives? rig something. what's the tower for?

well angry, your setup will take a couple years to pay or itself, but just keep in mind the environmental and economic cost of those stupid Coleman non-refillable cannisters. a fricking quart of fuel for damn near $5...
