I was there a few years back. Easy livin' can best describe it.
We stayed at one of the many campsites around. (Cerro Gordo I think, but a few others have sprung up). They provided cooking shelters, stoves, water, dishes, showers, games, sofas, stereos, ... everything. All you really need to bring in a tent and sleeping bag. I'd be surprised if some of them didn't have wireless by now.

You can walk to the crags. You can walk to the town market or hitch a ride with apeople driving by. I thought it might be nice to have a bike because I'm not so into walking. Food was relatively cheap. I ate too many avocados one day and had to take freuent rests.

I drove in from Texas and had to buy additional insurance for my car. There are a pile of places that sell it around the border, look for the billboards. It took about 3 hours from the border and was pretty straight forward, directions in the book, or a website, I can't remember which.

Anyway, good times. All types of bolted routes. Long, short, easy, hard, steep, sunny, shady, long approach, short approach. I remember the camping set-up was plush. You spend most of the time in the common area and only go to the tents for sleep.
