for anyone who gives a rat's ass: Liquid nails, the "heavy duty" caulk tube stuff, sucks. Very few of many different sizes, shapes, and type of rock held more than prolly 50#. Oddly, the big heavy ass rocks with mad surface area would hold. Sandstone also sucks. I don't know why I thought it wouldn't. Bondo is freaking awesome. I didn't even get the real deal, I got ghetto bondo. But mixing it sucks. I never get it perfect.

don't know if it will work, but i used it on my home wall, and it's cheap too. Bondo, the same stuff used on car bodies. For the home wall i formed each hold, but it could work as an adhesive. It's amazingly strong.

Well, I looked into buying the US anchor highway adhesive stuff. It would work..well too, but the problem is the cost.$$$. It is only sold in 6 packs for around $100! Damn, that's too much for me. But, I think I'm gunna try bondo. It's cheap, you can get it ANYWHERE, and yes mixing will suck, but paying 4 times as much would too!

I have never had luck with Bondo on our glue-ups around here (humidity maybe?) But I wanted to ask if the holds that rushjunkie11 shaped out of Bondo worked or are they too slippery, did you add anything to the Bondo to give it a texture?
