December 7th was the "soft" opening of the brand new Triangle Rock Club in Morrisville, NC. The gym is awesome. Check it out www.trianglerockclub.com The grand opening is scheduled for March 2008. They are offering specials through the end of the year. A gift certificate or membership would make a great Christmas present.

there is nothing in chapel hill (indoors) that compares w/ this new gym. It's not that far off I-40, and it's not that hard to get to avoiding I-40 either. I consulted a cary city map, and came up w/ 3 different routes I can take from raleigh, depending. One uses I-40 / weston parkway, another comes from west raleigh / fairgrounds, the third is a nice bike route from raleigh. This gym is so much better than what the area had before that its location isn't a major issue for me.

Its a much needed addition to the indoor climbing scene in the greater Raleigh area. Real nice boulder traverse that gets progessively difficult as the route moves up and around.

Great Place! Mostly I like that it's 15 minutes from the Cary Hibernian. Mines a Guinness.

Went for the first time yesterday. Very nice place! Had only been to Vertical Edge (Durham on Hwy 70)previously, newbie here. From a newbie standpoint, I wish they had more auto-belay devices like Vertical Edge. Also they're a bit more expensive.
