RC.com should come out with a new rating system based on this standard. haha.

i on the otherhand, am not close to not being taunted. i've only been on the rock for 6 months, so my resolution is 5.10/V3 by spring, a bouldering trip to denver/boulder, and 5.10c by 2009.

oh, and to get the person i have sex with to be my climbing partner. a bit inverse from the above poster.

Quit the job by June.

Hit the road by mid June.

Visit my friends in Austrailia (finally).

Get back to Ecuador.

Stay healthy. Not that I haven't been, but it's something one can take for granted if they're not careful. Maybe this is #1, on second thought.

Resolution is a bit of a committing word.

I'd like to send a few 5.13 on gear, a 5.13 on bolts, an M8 and a 5.13 in the gym, in that order... But really, I just want to get on a couple classic multipitch 5.12 and not flail too bad.

I'd have been happy to just climb a lot, like all the time. But some of us will never have the time to climb as much as others, so I'll have to settle for number chasing.

Hmmm... I don't know if I can pick any Crazy single goal or achievement.

I could say any of these, 'cause I know I can do it:
- lead 5.9 sport, and climb every 5.10 sport route
- lead 5.7-5.8 trad, and climb every route on "Kid Goat"
- multi-day scrambles, higher than 3000 meters, rated "difficult"
- anything on ice

Well maybe I'll do this, and more. But I don't need a "Resolution" -- either I will, or I won't -- it's all good.

So my Climbing Resolution for 2008 is simply:
Have fun.

Laugh

- Move to Colorado, Washington or Oregon.
- Redpoint and onsight 5.10 (any letter) sport
- Be patient in the gym and train rather than just trying to send hard routs. I'm starting to dislike our rout setters anyway.
- Climb outdoors twice a month (unless I move to Co, then it will have to be more).
- Get a new job!!! (not climbing related but just as important).
