Has anyone been on Pedrick's Chimney and/or Hart Route lately? I'm trying to get a better feel for what kind of bolts and how many plus what kind of trad pro if any is needed. What are the belay anchors like etc. Thanks

I'm sure I've already answered this elsewhere but Pedrick's has a bolt or two. It really doesn't need more than one. Doesn't need that one either, IMHO. But it's there. It is short and the difficulty is a chimney move with big holds. Go for it. Do It!

Yeh its me again. Well we were going to do it last weekend but we foolishly took heavy packs that we couldnt haul up and didnt want to leave all the goodies unattended.

Still is it so easy that it should be free climbed, I mean it is 80 to 90' and a class 5 right? Thanks Manny

PS we are rookies and having bolts on the Walk up was cool. By the way, I have heard a few sources refer to the walk up as 5.0

Yea, if you want to take packs to the base, do the 4th class arete walk. I would recommend a lighter approach, Pedricks doesn't need much more than a rope and some gear. Take draws. Better and longer is the Hart route, right variation. Not a lot of pro but easy and fairly solid climbing.
