Ladies and gentlemen (sorry kids)

Will you marry a climber who (she/he) is just like you ( a climber) or someone who is totally in to a different game but climbing ?
Hell no! Who would take care of the kids?

My college girlfriend took me climbing for the first time. The least I could do was make her my wife. We have been together for nearly 7 years. If she didn't climb, she would always think I had a second family that I visited 4 times a week for 3 hours each night! Sly

I would say I am more ecstatic that I don't have to deal with any whiny ass women while I am trying to hang out and have a good time doing whatever it is that I am doing at the given moment.

So don't hang with whiny ass women. The rest of us don't like to hang with whiny ass guys, either.

Fixed that for ya, as gender matters little when it comes to that. Wink

I married a climber. But..that wasn't why I married her. True, it's a definite bonus, when you share a passion such as this. It gives the two of you something to share. But, there are a lot of women who climb. There are not a lot of women who just plain rock my world. Even when I am mad at her, we've had a fight, or she just does something that annoys me, I still want to be close to her.

So, don't marry a climber. Marry someone who rocks. If she also happens to climb rocks, then that's just a bonus.

So long as the guys don't have to wear their helmets. Give us at least one good night before you ruin the rest of our lives.

Bingo!

Whats all this BS about you can't go on a vacation with your spouse?

If you can't go on vacation with your spouse without problems, why are you married to them?

My climbing partner is also my life partner and we have no problems with that Smile

We have some arguments on climbing trips but it is always about who gets the last beer... Full encouragement and support when we are climbing together and we trust each other completely... If you can trust your spouse with your life, IMO that is the basis of a strong relationship .

We are also the best of friends off the rock. He is the love of my life who also happens to be my perfect climbing partner Cool

Yes, I will marry him.

Yep. I think I'd go mental otherwise. My girlfriend's been climbing far longer than I have (her father taught her), but I climb more. So, we climb together sometimes, but not always. I think chossmonkey & granite_grrl have it right!

I think my girlfriend just worries about... where we're going to fit the gear I keep buying!
