At griffin falls who knows what those people were doing sounded like they worshiping the devil and sacrificing babies. During my lead of knife crack crazy lady decides to start dry heaving.... ruining all concentration My sand rock experience will never be forgotten. 4a.m. car alarm goes off for about 20 minutes... then redneck women start yelling at each other for a good 10 minutes. By this point someone is trying to bust in the window of the car. Ben and I converse and decide to walk up and see the drama unfold. As we creep closer in the dark i ask been if he is ready to "rep his shit" if things turn south. Ben says he is ready. About this time good ole boy says "I hit him upside the head, i did". Redneck crew decides they need back up so about 15 minutes later about 4 POS cars/trucks come flying up the road and make a road block and the yelling starts up again. Finally around 5 or so the cops come.... one of the craziest nights camping i have ever had. oh it was a memorable experience alright.... Who knows what is instore this weekend.

I remember the cat shit story, the guy was digging for truffles by Too Pumped Chump and looked like a pedophile. Regardless of what anyone says, Sandrock has some of the best routes around, but they don't get good until about 11c or d. Everything else kinda sucks though. The routes seem easier there, IMO, because on every route at Sandrock there is always a huge jug to shake out on, even on 12's and 13's. Not the case at most places. I haven't been there in a while since I moved to Huntsville, maybe I'll go back one day. If you want to stay away from the rednecks there is a free campground on Weiss Lake. Just go to Leesburg and go straight through the light. The road ends at a boat ramp and a campground. It's nice and quiet there.

Well, William, we haven't all ascending to sport climbing ggreatness...12s and 13s....congrats, dude...I'll stick with my 5.10 trad flailing. That dude was funny as hell, no? I would agree that ratings at Sandrock seem soft compared to the rest of the SE...what are you doing in Huntsvegas? Shoot me an email sometime. Forbus...where to next?

Same here John. I'll be back to give that one another go. It's probably the best 5.10 face climb I've been on since Headwall at Sunset back in the day. I'll have to drag Ben kickin and screamin, no doubt , but I'll be back.
