Hey, all... We're just back from a quick "opening weekend" trip to Smith (apparently, along with everyone else who lives within an eight-hour drive of the park -- it was a mob scene). The trip report with a few pictures is at: http://www.rockclimbergirl.com/...ock-in-february.html I don't have beta/details on most of the hard stuff our climbing partners climbed, but there is some information about the entry-level climbs that I did with my party. The short version is ... the days are sunny and warm and beautiful. The nights are freezing cold but worth it. Bring something soft to sit on while you wait in line for the moderates on your tick list, and don't forget the sunscreen!

We spent the afternoon of day one at the west side (Mesa Verde and Spiderman Buttress) and it was fantastic... with the exception of one party who seemed to be out to kill me, we were all by ourselves. It was beautiful over there, as always.
