I'm a newbie(V3--on plastic) who's looking to get outdoors onto the rock as soon as I can, but the winter weather is lingering. How soon can I go down to Joe's Valley to get my fill of bouldering? I was thinking early March but I can't find a site that'll show whether it is still snowy there.
also, how will indoor bouldering skills translate once I can get there?
Please fill me in!

Joe's is recommended for those that can boulder V4 or harder. I have not been because of the lack of easier problems (wife boulders V2). Instead, have you thought of Ibex? Either way, still lots of snow. If you want dry rock, Moab has plenty.

Ogden has some nice boulders that get tons of sun.
they should be clear by now. I'm planning on going there sometime soon to check it out.
The majority of the problems are V0 to V4 or 5. So you should have plenty to do there.

I didnt have trouble finding stuff to climb there, youll have more luck out at Triassic though. Definitely check out Joes.
Dem Bones, Gunshot boulder, riverside boulder, some of the older areas...
