Recently my pinky on my left hand has begun to give me some problems when climbing. I have heard it described as being double jointed, hypermobile or hyperexteded. The best way i can describe it is that my middle joint when grabbing a hold, will bend the wrong way severely reducing strenth. The picture i attached shows what happens. My question is there any way i can tape my finger to prevent this from happening or if anyone has this same problem and how they solved it. thanks

My fingers have always bent this way. When I first started climbing, I had a problem with my fingers involuntarily bending in this manner, but eventually, with enough climbing, my finger muscles/tendons/ligaments strengthened and now it almost never happens.
