Hi,
I would love to learn how to slackline; is there anyone in Bakersfield that slacklines once in awhile? I'm new to climbing/slacklining and don't know that many people in the sport so if anyone is interested in a new slacklining partner, I'd be interested!! Thanks.

It's Bakersfield... go to SLO, SC, SF, or Humboldt where people actually slackline and you'll find people to teach you. Check out the slackline.com forums under location as well. You might find someone located nearby.

I realize this town is lame 
With the price of gas, I cannot afford to drive to other places even if it is just to SLO. I have checked the slackline forum and have turned up nothing. Thanks for the response.

Yeah I don't know dudeski, I would recommend moving to a more legit location for many reasons other then learning to slackline However if you really want to learn, you can teach yourself like many of us have. Just takes a little more time and dedication.

Haha, I totally agree on moving to another place for more reasons than slacklining.... I have one year left in this dead end town. I'm plotting my escape even as I type 
I will try to teach myself, I'm just not crafty at the knot set up and I am afraid to do it wrong. I have read/viewed several articles/pictures and am still not sure exactly what I should do. I will ask the rock gym guys if they can help me out. Thanks!
