Hey people, So I have an odd task atmo. My lab just received a grant from the NSF to hold a workshop sometime in June for a couple of days and I am charged with finding where to have it. (we want it somewhere relatively remote - read far from big centers of civilization, so that we can make sure all the researchers actually stay for the full thing and not just for their specific session). However, since I am charged with selecting the location - I want to make sure there is good climbing there! So here is a question to all of you people who live close to great climbing areas - know of a small hotel/conference center type place where I could make this happen AND get some awesome climbing in as well? (end of May/June) Thanks! Irina

Look into Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. There's a few different conference facilities available there and its certainly far enough away from Pennsylvania that your delegates won't be able to leave easily. Climbing in the area begins in, hmmmmm, say April this year (el Nino's coming). W
