Hi NW PA climbers, I went to Indian Rocks on Saturday when I was leaving the ANF to work on the maps for the area. I was soon chased away by a pair of nesting ravens with a huge nest of young ones. The nest is just 5 feet or so to the left of climb #1's top anchor chains on the Faith Boulder. They were quite stressed from me being in the area and as their circles got lower and lower I decided it was time to go. They followed me almost a 1/2 mile down the mountain on the trail. A self imposed closure by the climbing community might be the best bet for now. The young ones will be gone soon enough and the big white streak of poo on the rock will be the only problem left for climbers. LION'S DEN http://www.rockclimbing.com/...n_Region/Lion_s_Den/ is only a few miles up the road and is a very similar sport crag. If you have a trip planned to the area, there is always that option if you find the birds still nesting at Indian. Long happy trails and safe climbing, Jae
