I am finally going down to the New for the first time this season. Considering by this time last year I was already there 8-10 times, this is a late start for me.

I can not decide which areas I want to go to. I have climbed in most of the areas, and the grade really does not matter because if I cannot climb lead it, someone in our group can. It does not have to be the hardest climb, to be a great climb. So let hear it. What are your favorite climbs at the New River Gorge?

Labor Day, High Times, Zag, Tree Route and Jaws are all sweet cracks at Bridge Buttress. They all end a little to soon, but throw in a few more lines and that's a hell of a fun day.

Dammit, now you've got me thinking about going back. I think I'd spend a day at Beauty and a day at Fern Buttress. That would be apretty perfect weekend.

I have been considering the Endless wall, but it all depends on the weather. I don't want to bake in the sun all day Wink
