Went to Ragged on Sunday and spotted a copperhead snake coiled up inside a horizontal crack on the west side at Owl's Lair. It was pretty lethargic, but it did poke its head out when we made some noise. We gave it a wide berth and it didn't bother us. Apparently they are rare in CT, but they do like traprock and are venomous.
