happiegrrrl wrote: Remember when the admin suggested having an rc.com meetup but then didn't organize it - so some rc'ers did, and we had a great time in JTree(April 2005, wasn't it?). I didn't go to that one but I did attend one at Blue Mounds State Park in Minnesota. That gathering still goes on in early June (7 years now) and was somewhat responsible for the creation of minnesotaclimbing.com's forum. I know there was other rockclimbing.com gatherings in the East but don't remember where. d.

I remember when (1) Rubber wasn't sticky on shoes yet (2) Ron Kauk and Lynn Hill were the biggest names in climbing. (3) The stitch plate with a spring was in thing. (4) It use to be Chounard and not Black Diamond (5) Tubers hadn't hit the market (6) 5.10 wasn't a company yet and I had a guide service called the 5.10 Club and then received a cease and desist letter from 5.10 which registered their name AFTER I had registered my company. (7) And the only guy getting all the attention for soloing was Peter Croft. GT

Those were the good old days. I agree with the old logo thing. You knew you were on the sight to much when you knew all the routes and figured out what they'd be rated. Now it's just a stupid box with some text inside it. what is this, an apple computer or something? I remember when I used to lose an entire post I was writing because my parents picked up the phone while I was online. BTW, what happened to PTPP? I kind of lost track of this site, then I randomly signed a while later and noticed he'd been banned. I know I could do a search, but gossip is always better this way.
