hello all :) I am fairly new to rock climbing but I absolutely love it!! I need some help locating the routes that you are able to top rope from, I have not yet learned to lead climb. I only know a few climbs to top rope from an would like to explore a little more since there are over 200 climbs in rock canyon. It would be much appreciated if you could help me out. Thank you!!

Hi there, rockstar!
I don't have any direct information on the area you're talking about, however I have some advice of how you can get it (just in case the folks on here are less then helpful).
Is there a local climbing gym near your area? Try meeting some people with knowledge of the canyon and who have climbed there many times. Get talking to them, then drop into convorsation once "have you ever ben to rock canyon? Man, I'd love to go climbing there- even if it was just top roping a few routes." If they mention something, make a joke about bringing a 24 pack for after climbing for whomever is heading out. But don't just joke, do take a 24 pack.
Don't let some gumby who is just looking for someone with beer take you out, make sure they know what they are talking about. Maybe even ask some other guys from the gym if your "guides" know what they are about.

Having worked your way into a climbing group, you will hopefully be able to get to know a large number of climbers, and no doubt most of them will know their way around the canyon. Hell, maybe one of them will eventually teach you to lead trad!

Anyways, another (wekesauce) solution would be to buy a guidebook then inspect the tops of all the routes. weke.

It's not near the end of the season here in Montana; how can it be near the end of the season in Texas? :)

I see and I'll agree that the wind does suck. However, you can't let that stop you from climbing or getting outdoors. I think your cold weather just blew in; highs below freezing and snow for a couple days.
