Hello out thier, Was wondering if anyone had any route info on 5.5 (trad) 5.9 (sport) routes on eagles nest in bancroft. can't find any info in any guide books, planning on climbing their this summer as i have family near huntsville. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there:
There are lots of climbs on the Eagle's Nest in Bancroft. The big flake is called Stairway to Heaven it's a 5.8 and 50m long. There is a really nice Trad climb a short way around the corner to the left of the big flake. It's 3 or four pitches and goes about 5.6. If you walk down the road to the south end of the cliff there is a trail that leads to a smaller cliff on top of the main cliff with some nice short routs. Access was an issue a few years ago but I have not heard of any problems in recent years.
You can hear the drive through speaker at the Tim Horten's across the road all the way to the top of the cliff by the end of the day all you will be able to think about is the cup of coffee that is waiting for you when you get down.

Still not much info on route's at Eagle's Nest in Bancroft, Ontario.
Hoping someone in the forum could point me to a guide book to use or some more info other that what has been posted last year.
I'm a very new trad leader and looking for easy trad in the area.
The only routes I've climbed at Eagle's nest are the new bolted climbs last year.
Any route info would be much appreciated.
