André Roch died in Geneva, Switzerland, at age 96. He was an alpinist and skier. He was part of the 1952 expe on Everest, when Tensing Norkay and Raymond Lambert climbed until 250 meters under the summit. This route is known as "La Voie des Genevois"/"The Route of the Genevans" if I'm right. He also created the first ski run in Aspen (CO) in 1937.
