I'm talking about Wim Hof from the Netherlands. He climbed a large part of Everest in shorts only. He holds the world record for longest continuous immersion in an ice bath (over an hour). He has swam in nothing more than swim trunks under a sheet of Finnish ice for 60 m straight. He also took a dip under the ice at the North Pole in only his swimsuit. He runs in the snow barefoot for 4 hours non-stop. The docs and researchers monitoring his vital signs while he was under ice cannot understand how he doesn't sustain tissue damage, heart rate increase, hypothermia or death! And he comes out looking like he just took a refreshing shower! Wouldn't he be an awesome ice climbing or mountaineering partner?? At least one of the two of you would always be thinking clearly when the conditions get rough!
