Here's a trip report that may just be longer than the trip itself... http://tr.im/la1S Two days at Tieton River, near Yakima, WA. We spent our time at the Lava Point and Royal Columns areas; an optimistic scouting trip up toward South Fork yielded a snow-covered road about five miles from the trailhead. Here are a few pics as a preview. This one's a view of Lava Wall: And, this is the view of Rimrock Lake from Lava Point: Enjoy!

Thanks! Let me know if/when you do -- there's a good chance (if it's not tick season) I'll be out there, too. I've got to get up to Skaha, myself... I have *got* to get my passport!
