Good on you for posting that, I wanted to but though it was a bit too controversial given the topic at hand.

Controversial? I thought it was a pretty straightforward (and touching) description of the cancer problem.

I agree, but it makes it out to seem like an impossible challenge. It may cause some people to be dissuaded from giving for cancer research; the comic can be easily misinterpreted.

Clausti was describing this comic to me last weekend when we were talking about her aunt.

As the Nike ads said: impossible is nothing. How do you overcome a seemingly endless line of mountains?

One at a time.

True that. In any case, it's a great comic. As I said, I ALMOST posted it, but left it up to you!

Any change on the paypal thing? It's the only way I can think of donating from sunny bananaland.

Pancreatic Cancer took my grandfather, leukemia took my grandfather and my best friend when she was barely 18. Cheers clau.

No change on the paypal thing. :( But blondgecko donated via credit card from Australia?

I would guess that Pelotonia won't do paypal directly, because paypal takes a cut and the nonprofit can't issue a tax receipt for that part of the donation? I'm talking out of my ass, here, I have no idea.

Yeah. I had no problem donating using my Visa card.

Good for you clausti. I have been affected by cancer also.
Some ladies I talked to after doing a 150 for some charity said it helps to keep changing positions on the seat. I know how sore I get with just 10-20 miles. Good luck with the ride.

I'm late to the game- but I just put some $$ in the kitty.

Good luck, clausti! I know you can do this!

I jsut got off a 65-mile ride for breast cancer research this morning :) The Little Red Riding Hood has become my very favorite event. 2,600 women (ONLY!) riding for breast cancer research! I would have loved to do the 100-miles, but the weather was super sketchy and I didn't have it in me this year, so I settled for a metric century. I very much enjoyed the whole ride.

I damn near cried when I rode across the finish line under a huge banner that said "VICTORY OVER CANCER"
to all who have suffered or lost someone we love, or both- we can do this!
