I'll be driving through next week, and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good crag along 24 or even 65 (North ofNashville). Any help or info would be great!

Sunset Park is probably the closest to I-24 if you're headed up I-75 from Georgia. Foster Falls is a little ways off of I-24. King's Bluff is off I-24 north of Nashville, but that might be a bit out of your way if you're taking I-65 north. What sort of climbing are you looking to do?

Sunset is essentially an all-trad area. Most of the top of the cliffline is private property, so hiking up to set up top ropes is usually not an option.

Foster Falls is mainly sport. You can scramble up the gully to the right of Bear Mountain Picnic (5.8+) and set up a top rope, but I think that's the only route I've ever seen someone toprope without leading it first.

Both of those areas are really nice though. You may want to see if you can find a partner (on the Internet or otherwise) to show you around. We were at Foster Falls a couple of weekends ago, and the falls were going strong. Really beautiful.

I can't tell you much about King's Bluff, since I've never been there. I know some people who have gone, and they liked it. Not sure what the toprope situation is.

King's Bluff is pretty nice; good variety of sport routes. I hear the top is mostly private property though, so you'd need to lead to set up top ropes. It's about a 40 minute drive NW from Nashville.
