i started leading this weekend!!! on saturday i led three routes, two of which i toproped first and one of which i had toproped the previous weekend. on sunday i led three more which i had previously toproped, took my first lead fall (wasn't so bad because i was barely above the bolt), and then onsighted two new climbs! i kept my head with me the whole time even when i thought i was going to die on a 5.8 and i think my partner thought i was going to hyperventilate. SUPER STOKED! just wanted to share. this was in holcomb valley, southern california

someone took a couple shots of my butt on the first lead climb, but i don't think they turned out that great. no worries though because i plan on doing this for a long time...there will be pics to come!

if you guys see me out climbing you are more than welcome to take pics and post them here. i'll be the tall asian girl leading the easy sport routes. make sure the pic shows that there is no rope hanging from the top!

so we're not going to see photos of the tall asian surfer / climber girl's butt? gutted 
nice work though! i think most people's first few leads are completely terrifying, but cowboying up and pushing through it as the only way to fix that, and i'm sure it'll only get better once you get some mileage under you. taking a fall on your first day earns extra points for sure.
