I think making fun of fat chicks is exactly what they need. I'm so sick of this notion that we need to treat them special because they just can't help being fat. That's a load of crap. Very, very few fat people are that way because of genetics, the vast majority are fat because they are lazy and eat a bunch of crap. I love the fact that I am always seeing this commercial on TV for some new reality dating show for fat people. It always states that the average girl in the US is like a size 14-16. THAT IS FREAKING DISGUSTING!!!! This isn't something that they just can't help. The US is just getting fatter and fatter each day because we are so lazy. Hopefully if we start making fun of them more, they will realize that they aren't normal, and will do something about it. I'm really not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to keep a bunch of chicks from killing themselves due to obesity.

Wow - the real pigs sure are outting themselves themselves in this thread. All that I can say is that karma can be a cruel mistress! tallgirl - I agree with you 100%. I am pretty sure that your placing this in General was to get as much traffic as possible to this topic. However, where General is not a highly moderated forum, a subject like this seems to always degenerate into something that you probably did not want. It is now not at all about climbing. Unfortunately, I am going to hold my nose with all the filth going on in this thread and send it off to Campground. The Ladies Room might have been a more appropriate place to bring this up, where it would be highly moderated. I saw this too late to do all the necessary cleaning, and it has taken on a life of it's own.

I wonder if nationalized health care would increase the badgering of obese people. I suppose right now with private insurance, though, the medical problems related to obesity are being borne by all of the rate payers so maybe it would be no different. To some extent we all pay for fat? (move to soap box?)

How about a simpler solution. % Tax on food = % body fat.

Ummm. You know freddie was a gay man right? I think he was actually bisexual. Or perhaps "pan-sexual" would be a more appropriate term. And Frank Zappa said "The bigger the cushion the better the pushin."

If you ever want to get a date, or even have the chance of getting one, I strongly suggest you eradicate this comment from your lexicon and consider actually climbing something other than your chair by the computer, reading something other than Girls Gone Wild or Maxim Magazine, and (dare I say it) growing up. Well, since you asked so nicely, I'm sure they'll consider it.

In reply to: What a humanitarian... I'm sure making fun of someone is an effective way to "help" them. Hey it's better than letting them continue to think that being obese is just normal and there's nothing that they can do about it. Fact is most overweight and obese people are that way because they made themselves that way.
