Hey ladies and Gents My name is Jacob I was wondering if any SouthEastern Climbers where going to be around SandRock AL on the 9th and 10th of October 2009? Panic is playing two nights down in Birmingham ( the 9th and 10th) and I was planning on making a tour detour to Sandrock to get up on some routes on either of those dates. Stats about me. Im 23, have been climbing off and on for about 3 years and have experience around the south ( Foster Falls TN, Pilot Mtn NC, Horse Pens Rocktown, and some other smaller boulder fields) Im climbing consistent 5.10b/c right now and bouldering V4-5, although in the next month i will be going into nothing but endurance route laps and cutting back on the bouldering I wanted to see if anyother panic fans or climbers in the area wanted to come out and get higH for the day before the show... hit me up on pm or email: Trpnbear@uga.edu if your interested hope to see yall out there climb higH

"Man, this music sucks." No sir, not going to be at the show...do they play Freebird ever? Regarding the climbing, I'll be working and unable to join you. Nevertheless, head on over to Sandrock...there should be people there. May be spotty mid wee, but, if there are folks around, they're likely to be of the more friendly persuasion. You should be able to find a group to hitch a ride with. If there is a black Jaguar convertible in the parking area, look for a strapping, handsome fellow in his early fifties named Johnny. He may be feeling benevolent. Otherwise, closer to Birmingham, if you'd like to do some bouldering, mosey on over to Moss Rock Preserve. Always a happening spot on afternoons with good weather. Great bouldering. Get on the send train. Edited to add: The climbing at SR is not overrun with cracks persay...I.E. it is mainly a sport area. Get ready to crimp.
