I sat and watched El Capitan by Glen Denny the other night. I don't know how many times I've watched it now, but it is a great video. If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary to add to you Christmas list this year, may I suggest this classic.

I agree, and thanks for reminding me. I'll have to dust off my copy and watch it again. I love how you can hear the swifts in the background -- it really makes you feel like you are up there.

fyi Those of you who like videos about Yosemite should keep your eyes out for a new film called "Vertical Frontiers". It's a very well done documentary chronicling the history of big wall climbing in Yosemite from the days of Salathe to present, It also inlcudes some stuff on the effort to get Camp4 recognized as a national historic site. I was fortunate enough to see the premier at the Mill Valley Film Festival. They were then taking it to the Banff Film Festival. I'm sure it will do well there and get taken out to other locations on the traveling Banff show. They're also trying to get aired on PBS. I've never seen "El Capitan". I'll have to check it out.
