Most definitely. Hoping not to get rained out this year again. Turns out my tent wants more sand in it this year. I'll be staying an extra two days if anyone wants to do some climbing or bouldering afterwards. I'll buy the wine on Friday then, as long as somebody else provides me with a New Belgian beer.

I'm doing a clinic on Saturday. I'm looking for a climbing partner for Sunday. I'd like to do some moderate trad climbing. 5.9-10a. I'll lead or swing leads. Any takers? Nate natebloser@gmail.com

Just wondering... Is the rendezvous worth attending for more experienced climbers who don't want any clinic stuff? Does it cost money for those not doing clinics? Is it possible to enjoy Red Rock during the rendezvous without taking part (camping still available and climbs)? Just turns out i have a week off and the rendezvous is smack dab in the middle of it and it almost makes me want to go to Utah. I just don't know enough about it. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get myself to the Red Rocks! This is a birthday present to myself. The last day of the Rendezvous will be my 21st birthday!!! I am heading from West Virginia. I live in the rural mountains of WV (about an hour from Seneca Rocks). I am trying to find a ride to the DC area. Any Ideas? Anyone in this area heading to DC, Baltimore, Philli to catch a plane? |

Ill be flying in from Canuckistan on Thursday night, crashing on the strip and pulling in bright and early friday. If anyone wants to crash with us or needs a lift, we should have room for one more! Oh, ill be sure to bring some duty-free ;)

I might be there the week before (13-18). What is it usually like weather wise and crowd wise during this time? I would love to go to the rendezvous but spring break and work dictates otherwise.

Hey kylekienitz - if the sun is out (and it usually is) weather will be great. Storms are unpredictable, but expect daytime 70s. No worry of crowds mid week. Weekends are somewhat crowded when weather is good (got to go off the beaten paths and there're plenty!). Need any more local insight, let me know - I've lived here 22 years...

What better place to spend a 21st birthday than Las Vegas? If you don't get your fill at the Rendezvous, I'll join you at the bars in town. Nothing better than a group of climbers who haven't showered in a few days, covered in sand, burned to a crisp by the sun, and stinking to high-hell going out on the town!
