Does anyone use this photo software when submitting pics. This is all I have and I can't figure out how to shrink photo size or reduce resolution.

iPhoto is not really an image editing program, although it does have very limited editing capabilities.
You might try Graphic Converter from Lemke Software
$35 shareware (but you can use it for free in demo mode)

There is also The Gimp if you do X11 under MacOS X or you run Linux.

There are plenty of other free/cheap image editing programs for MacOS X/9. Check out Versiontracker.com
