Does anyone know if you can use either DMM peenuts of Metolius astronuts for the changing corners pitch on el cap? It seems like they would perform well in flares...or are DMM/HB brassies the only way to go?

The changing corner pitch is on Astroman, Astroman is on Washington's Column, not El-Cap.

Well i've never climbed that, but the DMM peenuts do work really well in flares. Try supertopo.com...lots of Valley climbers there. :)

The only HB nut I had on changing corners was bootied from the great roof - can't remember if I placed it in changing corners, but I did place most of a set of peenuts and was quire happy with them. Remember to pad the sharp edge as you move into the final corner system.
