And don't leave early if she sucks, unless of course that is a deal breaker for you. Naw, I think I'll go with one or 2 friends so I'll have someone to talk to in case she's there pashing some guy or if she becomes all 'err, umm, uuhh, ermm, umm' again. I think flowers are a bit too much for this circumstances. You know, I've wondered if that would be a deal breaker. I'd probably be still attracted but I'd find it a bit hard to lie to her face telling her how much I enjoyed her music.

Do you think I should wait until she gets her tongue out of the other guy's mouth to give her the flowers?

That makes no sense. Bogan poetry is terrible, everyone knows that.

We all expect a fully detailed trip report, by the way. Consider yourself obligated to do so.

Ok, so I went to the gig, sober, with a friend and without flowers. Apparently the correct approach is a mixed one none of us was aware of and I accidentally ended up going for. I'm late all the time, and last night I got also caught up with other stuff and ended up arriving at the bar right after she finished performing. Her greeting was 'where were you?', not recriminating but in a smiley friendly way. She immediately dumped the people she was with and stayed with me. My friend made up something about meeting with some people somewhere else and left after he finished his beer. She mentioned she was actually glad I didn't make it to her performance because it's been a while since the last time she was on stage and told me she was rusty and made a couple of mistakes and would've felt embarrassed if I was there. So I told her, 'well, you went kind of weird when I told you about coming to the gig, so I was wondering about that' and she said 'so that's why you got here late?'. Of course I couldn't miss such an opportunity, so I said 'um, yes, of course... absolutely'. She looked at me like she wasn't 100% convinced but smiled and said 'well, thank you then'. We ended up having a great night and we'll go out this weekend. So I guess everything went great and I was over-thinking everything (as usual). Thanks for all the advice anyway, even though you all FAILED miserably. At least people found this thread amusing. By the way, when we were walking from the bar I saw a drunken bogan sitting on the footpath at the front of some dodgy night club. There was a hot/slutty looking girl with a microscopic mini-skirt (and apparently no panties) trying to help him stand up. It reminded me of kachoong's 'show up trashed' advice. I still think he must be onto something.
