So, I was surfing around the rock climbing forums everywhere (not just this one) and came across this awesome pic: http://www.ukclimbing.com/news/item.php?id=58697 So I figured I'd start the "awesome climbing picture" thread here. Post cool pictures (yours or found) here so that we can have some rock climbing eye candy!

some of the colors of OP's link appear overly 'shopped. could be my monitor at work..... asking random people to "post cool pictures" that they've taken is questionable. look at the photo page here and what many people consider cool.

Well, the link is from the web, whether it is shopped or not is not my business, I just thought the photo was cool. And if you read the original post, I wasn't asking for pictures people have taken. I am well aware of the pictures area of this forum. I was asking for really cool pictures people have NOT taken. And also, often it happens that in the pictures area, only pics with votes from friend cliques make it to the front page. And also, if they're all in one thread you can see them quicker without having to click from picture to picture. And by cool, I meant extraordinary pics, the kinds you'd find on other websites. Sorry to say, but most people's home camera pictures don't count as "extraordinary" (sometimes they do). The point is, dude, if you don't like it, leave the thread. Why is it questionable to ask people to post pictures or links to cool pictures? I think it is questionable that you find it questionable. So there. :P.

i won't deny the scene of the original photo is stunning. but the colors seem off, too sharply defined at the edges. as i said, though, maybe it's my cruddy work monitor. i did read your original post. here's your line: "So I figured I'd start the "awesome climbing picture" thread here. Post cool pictures (yours or found) here so that we can have some rock climbing eye candy! " post yours. post found. i like your idea of having a counter to the worst photos thread. all i sardonically snarked was that in asking to people to post their own "cool" photos, you're going to get a lot of what is up on the main photo page. relax. or ignore me.
