Does anyone know if any of the routes can be accessed from the left fork/bottom side trail at Crowder's Mountain? I've been out there a couple of times but always walked to the top of the mountain. Looking at trying to access the Practice Wall or David's Castle from the bottom.

if you want to lead then sure the trail runs the cliff length about half a mile away from the cliff. Its flat incomparison to the "to the top of the mountain" trail. Finding routes and areas might be a bit tricky once the trees start filling in

Great! A couple of my buddies and I are heading up there in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the info.

Are you talking about the fire tower trail that cuts left as soon as you start the hike? If so, then I believe you have to bushwack up the hill to get to the base. Otherwise, just hike up like normal and pass the practice wall on your left. Go down the gully, curl left then back right at the base of Burn Crack. This is the climbers trail that takes you all the way to the Red Wall and beyond.
