Looking for a climbing partner. I climb about 3 times a week in the gym currently but im looking to make trips most of the summer to get on the real rock. Little background, started climbing at 11 (currently 27). climbed until i was 18, ended up falling away from the sport entirely untill recently. used to climb 5.14 now struggle with 5.11s lol. still have the moves just working on building strength back up. Anyway, bouldering is getting boring alone. I guess my future goal after getting my strength back is to do alot of trad climbing, even sport. but i need a partner if im going to accomplish that. IF you're interested in a long term climbing partner send me an email sometime.

I don't really climb that hard, but I have been trad climbing for about four years now. I'm hoping to get out on the rock a lot this summer. Mostly between Mineral Wells and the WMWR up in Lawton. If you want to meet up in a gym sometime to climb i usually go to Dallas Rocks and Exposures. I'm going to be at Dallas Rocks later today, the 13th from about noon to 6 if you are free to swing by. Just look for the guy with the green rope teaching a girl some leading skills. And I'm usually free any Friday and Sunday.

Well, we went. Beautiful place, not alot of top-rop opportunity, alot of trad which is cool, just not geared for it yet. Got to hit a few of the sport climbs, which some are actually a little hairy, one doesnt have a bolt for the first 20ft ;P i gues thats where im suppose to use a cam or some type of protection before i get to it. Oh well. I'd like to go back when i get some trad gear, they've got a wall full of 5.6-5.8's. seems like a good place to start anyway.

Where did you go? Sounds like upper wall. You can top rope all of them, we climb upper wall about twice a week depending on the weather. Headed to quartz this friday.
