Finding NC Climbers

Looking for some climbing friends in NC to do some trad and top rope climbing. Just got back from climbing at Red Rocks and really want to continue to do some outdoor stuff but haven't found any partners yet. I live in Charlotte NC but willing to drive to spots in Western NC, Stone Mountain, Crowders Mountain, Pilot Mountain, etc. I am free most weekends to climb. I do not have much equipment at this point (working on that) so would need to link up with someone who has rope, etc. Looking forward to meeting new climbing friends.

Thank you,

~Sarah

There is a large community of climbers in Charlotte. Check out the climbing gym Inner Peaks. There you should meet a lot of local climbers. Also, facebook has a Crowder's Mountain page. This can also help you find partners in the area.

If you're not already familiar with it, the CCC's website (www.carolinaclimbers.org) is another good place to look. Inner Peaks should be a good place to find some partners.

Hello
I am new at rock climbing, but currently climbing 5.8 / 5.9 top rope, my partner is a little lazy, I am always looking to climb.
I live in Winston Salem and I can set rope at Pilot Mountain, there are bolt for top rope. If anyone wants to climb on the weekend let me know.

My climbing partners are all doing other things for this coming weekend-- I am in the midst of trying to formulate a plan B, so perfect timing. Not sure what the weather is up to this weekend but would be up for climbing at Pilot as I've never been. I climbed at RB and Crowder's this past weekend and it was perfect. Let me know.

Great, I am free on Saturday but I am not sure about Sunday, I’ll know later this week. There is 40 % chance of rain this weekend. Let’s hope it change.

Hey Demian! It is supposed to rain tomorrow and I think I am going to stick around here to do some trail racing instead. Sunday is booked for me as well. Maybe another time, have a good weekend.

I am a newbie and looking for some NC people to climb with. I can get rope and other gear. I am a firefighter and work on a confined space team, but want to learn to climb.

I am about 2 hours from any big city though. :(
